Christmas at Brannock Cove

by Emma S. Linden

Finn Harlow can fix anything with an engine. He has spent seven years on the rigs out west committing to nothing, and this Christmas he comes home to Brannock Cove having quietly quit for good. The only person he tells is Maisie Clarke, his best friend since they were four, the girl across the road who is always under a truck in her father's garage. Maisie has news of her own. In January she starts in the boatyard's new engine shop, the job the Harlows always said would be Finn's when he came home. And under that is the thing she has never said: seven years ago, in a pull-off on the shore road on the way to his flight, she kissed him, and he got on the plane anyway. Then the whole town learns that Walt Harlow is selling the family house before the New Year. Between a fire-hall Christmas concert, a stubborn father, an old outboard motor in pieces on a bedroom floor and the last belsnicklers on the South Shore, Finn has two weeks to decide whether he can finally pick something up and keep it. A warm, closed-door friends-to-lovers Christmas romance set in a Nova Scotia harbour town. Book 5 of The Harlows of Brannock Cove, and the close of the series. Each book tells one Harlow sibling's love story and can be read on its own.
