About this sensor

The oxygen (O2) sensor measures how much oxygen is left in the exhaust, so the engine computer can keep the air-fuel mixture right. As a sensor ages it reacts slowly or stops working. That can turn on the check-engine light, waste fuel, cause a rough idle and make the car fail an emissions test.

  • DENSO: DENSO supplies oxygen sensors to many automakers as original equipment and builds its replacement sensors to the original specifications.
  • Correct position matters: upstream sensors sit before the catalytic converter and control the fuel mixture. Downstream sensors sit after it and check the converter. V engines have a sensor for each bank. Order the one for your position.
  • Direct fit: OE-style connector and harness length, so it plugs into the factory connector.
  • New, not remanufactured: no core charge.

Install note: work on a cool engine, use an oxygen-sensor socket and torque to the value in your OEM service manual. Keep the sensor tip clean and away from silicone sealers. Clear the codes after installing. If a code returns, the cause may be elsewhere (vacuum or exhaust leaks, fuel trim, the catalytic converter).
