Crafted in the distinctive Pre-Columbian Moche style of ancient Peru, this blackware double-chambered vessel features a rounded ceramic chamber linked by a lower passageway and an upper bridge handle to a seated human effigy. The effigy displays classic Andean artistic conventions, including a stylized facial profile with almond-shaped eyes, prominent nose, circular ear spools, a simple fitted cap, and arms folded across the chest. Molded from dark, reduced-fired charcoal clay, the piece exhibits a tall vertical spout rising from the rear chamber and shows extensive surface distressing, mineral deposits, and earthy patination that highlight its traditional stirrup-spout design
