About these plugs

NGK Iridium IX plugs are made for performance engines and are a common upgrade from original-equipment nickel plugs. A fine 0.6 mm iridium center electrode gives a stable, consistent spark and wears far more slowly than nickel.

  • Fine-wire iridium tip: iridium is much denser than platinum and has a very high melting point, so the 0.6 mm tip holds its shape for a long service life.
  • Tapered-cut ground electrode: takes less energy from the spark, for easier starts, a smoother idle and quicker throttle response.
  • 98% copper core: pulls heat away from the tip and gives the plug a wide working heat range.
  • Trivalent metal plating: resists corrosion and seizing, so the plugs thread in and come out cleanly.
  • Where they fit best: modified and high-performance engines, including turbocharged and supercharged ones, or as a step up from standard plugs.

The plugs come gapped at 1.1 mm (0.043 in). Check the gap your engine calls for before installing.

Purchase terms

Confirm fit before you buy

Check the compatibility chart with your full vehicle details: year, make, model, trim and engine. Catalog data can't cover every option package or mid-year change, so if you're unsure, message us your VIN and we'll check it before you buy.

Installation

We recommend installation by a qualified technician, following the vehicle manufacturer's service procedures and torque specifications. Damage caused by incorrect installation, such as over-tightening, cross-threading or incorrect adjustment, isn't covered.

Returns

Returned parts must be new, unused and uninstalled, in the original packaging with every piece included. A part that has been installed, modified or damaged after delivery can't be accepted unless it has a manufacturer defect.

If a part fails

Message us through eBay with your order number, a short description of the problem and photos. We'll handle the warranty claim and may ask for the part back for inspection.

Labor and other costs

Our responsibility is limited to replacing or refunding the part. To the extent the law allows, we don't cover labor, installation or removal, diagnosis, towing, rental vehicles, or incidental or consequential damages.

Your eBay protection

These terms apply alongside eBay's policies. Nothing here limits your rights under the eBay Money Back Guarantee or under the law.
