Vintage 60's - 70's Chrome SERVICES Army Pocket Watch, Silver Face, GWO VGC Bench tests have been good with it being within 1 - 2 minutes over a 12 hour period. I have only seen this watch face a few times in the last 9 - 10 years I have been working on them, so fairly scarce. It is a Smiths/Ingersoll movement with the 'SERVICES Army' face. The face has block numerals with remnants of luminous paint, no longer glowing but intact, on a silver background, it is very attractive. The hands are slim with the luminous paint still intact but again not glowing any longer, it is very easy to read. The case has some wear due to age and use but it has no dings or dents and generally very clean and shiny. The movement is very clean and I have lubricated it with a good fine watchmakers oil so running very smoothly with a nice wind and it self starts at about the half wind position. Overall a really good, unusual example with an element of scarcity to it, so a little more expensive, but I had to pay a bit more for it too.

In regards to manual, hand wind, pocket watches, wrist watches and pendant watches I check them out over a period of 2 days and if they are within 3 - 5 minute over 12 hours I will list them. Some of them are between 40 and 80 years old and are subject to wear and tear cosmetically and mechanical wear to the movement. I give a description of my assessment of the timepiece and sell at a fair price. I cannot guarantee them once posted. My postal charges equate to the online Royal Mail charge plus 50p - 60p for packaging. This is a little more expensive but a much better service to you the buyer & me the seller.

Items with simple postage have my packaging charge added to the item price as ebay does not take this into account and sellers lose out on this cost if not added.
