Career Highlights

Playing Style

Carroll's greatest weapon is his elite speed.

He is capable of turning routine singles into scoring opportunities, stealing bases at a high rate and taking extra bases that most players would not attempt. His speed also gives him tremendous range in the outfield.

At the plate, Carroll possesses a compact and explosive left-handed swing. Despite not being one of baseball's physically largest players, he generates impressive power and can drive the ball to all parts of the field.

His combination of speed, power, plate discipline and athleticism makes him extremely difficult for opposing teams to contain.

Carroll also plays with an aggressive style that allows him to impact games even when he isn't hitting home runs. He can reach base, steal a base, score from first on an extra-base hit or make a difficult defensive play in the outfield.
