| The Omega Constellation Ref. 14393/94 SC3 represents one of the most distinguished chapters in Omega's golden age of precision watchmaking, belonging to the celebrated Constellation Calendar family introduced during the late 1950s. Originally conceived as the manufacture's flagship chronometer collection in 1952, the Constellation embodied Omega's remarkable achievements in observatory precision competitions and the development of highly accurate automatic movements. This particular example features an elegant champagne sunburst dial with applied gold baton hour markers, faceted Dauphine hands and the characteristic Constellation signature accompanied by its applied star emblem. The beautifully sculpted case, with its distinctive curved and angular lugs, reflects the sophisticated case-making traditions of the period, when careful finishing and architectural proportions were as important as the movement itself. From a watchmaking perspective, the Ref. 14393/94 is particularly significant for its association with the Omega Caliber 561, a 24-jewel automatic chronometer movement operating at 19,800 vibrations per hour and adjusted for temperature and five positions. Unlike later quickset calibers, the 561 employs a traditional calendar mechanism requiring the hands to be advanced through midnight to change the date, an important mechanical characteristic of this earlier generation.
