This auction is for original ticket stubs from a June 1879 Excursion from Philadelphia to Cape May, New Jersey and return aboard the sidewheel Steamer Republic. The tickets are hand dated on the back. The tickets have slightly different dimensions but are roughly 2 ⅜” x 3 ⅛” and the condition is Poor to Good. There is a very brittle folded area at the top of each which has splits and soiling, paper loss at one corner, and there is an old ink stamp from a collection in the lower margin.
