Remarkably the batteries stayed intact. I removed the batteries and I am not going to send 3 "AA" batteries in the mail because when you go to the post office they ask any batteries in the package. The battery terminal is clean no rust, see pics. The helmet has been tested and works. Pretty neat to have fun with at a party, with friends or Halloween.
