They are manufactured to ISO 9001 standards and have a tolerance of only +/-2 mm when loaded heights. Coil spring design and manufacture is a craft that requires strict adherence to a number of demanding processes, all of which are critical to the performance of the final product.

The spring rate, i.e. the stiffness, must be matched to the weight of the vehicle weighing on it as well as to the weight of the other suspension components and the wheel. The spring rate also controls roll stiffness or body roll. By reducing body roll, we reduce the extent of camber change in the wheels. A large camber change can drastically reduce the tire's contact with the road and significantly limit cornering handling.

The handling of most vehicles can be greatly improved by increasing the original spring rate to an optimal value that maximizes tire grip and reduces body tilt for better handling. Increasing the spring rate beyond the optimum value affects handling as the tires begin to jump over bumps, reducing grip and safety.
