Offered here is an original assembled U.S. Air Force career ribbon rack representing extensive service during the Vietnam War era.

The rack contains 11 U.S. and Republic of Vietnam decorations, unit awards and service ribbons, including:

• Bronze Star Medal

• Meritorious Service Medal

• Air Force Commendation Medal

• Presidential Unit Citation

• Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with bronze oak-leaf cluster

• National Defense Service Medal

• Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze campaign stars

• Air Force Longevity Service Award with three bronze oak-leaf clusters

• Air Force Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon

• Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm Unit Citation

• Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960– device

The three bronze stars on the Vietnam Service Medal indicate credit for three designated campaigns.

The three oak-leaf clusters on the Air Force Longevity Service Award represent three subsequent awards beyond the initial award, consistent with a lengthy Air Force career.

The combination of decorations and the absence of an Air Force Good Conduct Medal is consistent with a career commissioned officer, although the original recipient is unidentified and no named documentation accompanies the rack.

The individual ribbons are traditional metal-backed/crimp-style military ribbon bars fitted to a modular multi-ribbon mounting rack. Several components retain government-contractor/vendor markings on the reverse.

Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition. Ribbons show varying degrees of age, fading, fraying and handling wear. Metal devices show oxidation/tarnish and age-related finish wear. Individual ribbon bars can slide off the modular mounting rack, as shown in the photographs. Please inspect all photos carefully for exact condition and construction.

No recipient identification or service paperwork is included.
