IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES — PLEASE READ & SEE VIDEO!
There is a splice in the first few seconds of the tape that is both visible and audible. Beyond this opening splice, the tape sounds great! The tape itself is flat and supple, with no apparent curling or cupping, and packs beautifully and evenly on the reel.
The original box has significant wear and damage, including a split and separation along the spine, worn corners and edges, staining, and general age-related discoloration. Please examine the photographs carefully.
**Bid with the splice and damaged original box in mind.
Released in 1970, Led Zeppelin III marked a fascinating turning point for the band, moving beyond the heavy blues-rock of their first two albums into acoustic folk, British traditional music, and adventurous studio production.
Produced by Jimmy Page, the album includes the thunderous Immigrant Song, the extraordinary blues performance Since I've Been Loving You, and acoustic classics Gallows Pole, Tangerine, and That's the Way.
This is the original Atlantic Records 7½ IPS, 4-track stereo prerecorded tape, catalog M 7201, manufactured and duplicated by Ampex in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
A wonderful opportunity to own one of Zeppelin's most interesting albums on vintage analog tape, with excellent sound beyond the disclosed opening splice. Bid with the splice and damaged original box in mind.
