RISE OF THE MIDNIGHT SONS – PART TWO: ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK INTO VISIONS OF HELL!
Written by Howard Mackie with interior artwork and cover illustration by Adam Kubert, this issue brings together two legendary figures from the Ghost Rider mythology: Danny Ketch, the supernatural Ghost Rider, and Johnny Blaze, the original flaming-skulled motorcycle hero.
An ancient demonic threat has returned. Lilith, the Mother of Demons, begins gathering her monstrous offspring, the Lilin, threatening to unleash supernatural devastation upon the world.
When Johnny Blaze's family becomes a target, Ghost Rider and Blaze find themselves fighting a horrifying new enemy whose plans will draw together some of Marvel's most powerful supernatural characters.
The action sets the stage for the formation of the Midnight Sons, the legendary Marvel supernatural alliance associated with Ghost Rider, Blade, Morbius, and other heroes.
FIRST FULL APPEARANCE OF LILITH – MOTHER OF DEMONS!
This issue features the first full appearance of Lilith, an important supernatural villain in Marvel Comics continuity.
Lilith previously appeared briefly in Ghost Rider #28 as part of a prophetic vision, making Spirits of Vengeance #1 her first full appearance.
This distinction makes the issue particularly desirable to collectors of Marvel villain debuts, Ghost Rider comics, and supernatural first appearances.
