Small, 3.75 x 3.75", original printing of Kate Greenaway’s Birthday Book for Children (published by George Routledge and Sons), apparently an 1880 first edition, although I see no publication date. While the interior text block remains complete with masterful color printing by Edmund Evans — please note that the outer cloth covers have completely separated from the interior pages. The pages themselves show age-toning, light staining, and handling wear consistent with a 140-year-old children's volume, but the artwork remains bright and delightful. This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a true Victorian miniature classic for a rebinding project or a unique addition to an antique book collection. . .... Code JSB 341
