Antique Russian Empire “Slavery” Sasha Schneider Symbolist Art Nude Postcard Russia

📜 Description
Antique Russian Empire art postcard featuring “Slavery” by Sasha Schneider, a dramatic Symbolist composition showing a chained nude figure standing before a giant dark face and hands. The powerful, unsettling imagery is typical of Schneider’s allegorical and psychological art and makes this an unusual early 20th-century collectible.

Condition: Good antique condition with age toning, light spotting, minor edge wear and small surface marks. Unused and unposted.

Text on the back: “Всемирный почтовый союз. Россия.” — “Universal Postal Union. Russia.” “Открытое письмо — Carte Postale.” “Место для корреспонденции” — “Space for correspondence.” “Адрес” — “Address.” Along the side: “Главный склад для всей России — СПб. Литейный пр. 55” — “Main warehouse for all Russia — St. Petersburg, Liteiny Prospekt 55.”
