Space Relations by Donald Barr, Fawcett Crest 1975

The first paperback printing of Space Relations, the 1973 science-fiction novel by Donald Barr, former headmaster of New York's Dalton School and father of former U.S. Attorney General William Barr. In a far future where the galaxies are colonized, young space diplomat John Craig is captured by interplanetary pirates and sold into slavery on the planet Kossar, where he is bought by the aristocratic Lady Morgan Sidney and uncovers a secret beneath her castle that could mean the end of mankind.

Long out of print, this odd and once-obscure novel has become a much-sought collector's book in recent years because of its author, and early Fawcett copies are now scarce. Striking cover art of a Gothic tower-castle rising from an alien sea.
