Ocun HABU & Condor Screw Belay Set - Guide Mode, HMS Screwgate

The Ocun HABU & Condor Screw Belay Set is a compact belay and abseil device with guide mode, paired with an anti-crossload HMS screwgate. It's built for climbers who want one device to cover single-pitch, multipitch and abseiling. The HABU belays a leader, abseils, and belays a second directly from the anchor in autoblock (guide) mode. Ocun's design also lets you lower a follower from guide mode in a controlled way without a dedicated release eye, which takes a lot of faff out of a stuck second. Shaped rope cavities keep handling smooth and reduce the tendency for sharp wear edges to form over time. The Condor HMS adds a manual screwgate, a keylock nose, a rope-friendly basket and an independent internal wire gate that keeps the carabiner correctly oriented in your belay loop. Choose this set when your climbing includes trad, multipitch and abseils and you prefer to lock a screwgate yourself. Why you'll love it Multipitch versatility – lead belaying, abseiling and autoblock belaying of a second from the anchor Easier lowering in guide mode – controlled lowering from autoblock mode with no separate release eye Stable carabiner – the Condor's independent wire gate helps prevent rotation in the belay loop Rope-friendly and durable – optimised cavities resist forming sharp wear edges Snag-free – keylock nose on the carabiner Good to know Included: HABU belay and rappel device and Condor HMS screwgate carabiner Rope ranges: single 8.5–10.5mm, half 7.1–9.2mm, twin 7.0–9.2mm Set weight: 153g Carabiner lock: manual screwgate Standards: HABU EN 15151-2 and UIAA 129; Condor EN 12275, EN 362 and UIAA 121 A belay device does not replace correct technique or an active brake hand. Use only with compatible ropes and a suitable locking carabiner, read the manufacturer's instructions before use and get competent instruction Who it's for Intermediate and advanced climbers doing trad, sport and multipitch routes who need to belay a second from the anchor and abseil on single, half or twin ropes, and who prefer a manual screwgate.
