Pair of vintage Corning Glass Works No. 585 / G585 “Blue Purple Ultra” optical filter glass discs.

These are older scientific/laboratory optical filters intended for selective wavelength transmission. Corning No. 585 filter glass is associated with ultraviolet/blue-violet optical work, mercury-arc illumination, spectroscopy, fluorescence, and other laboratory optical applications.
