Original 1921 piece of vintage sheet music titled In Sweet September, with music by James V. Monaco and lyrics by Edgar Leslie and Pete Wendling. Published by Waterson, Berlin & Snyder Co., New York.

The stunning Art Deco cover illustration depicts a romantic lady gazing into a crystal ball, inside which appears the face of her beloved. This fortune teller–style design, with its dreamy colors and Deco detailing, makes it a standout collectible for both sheet music and ephemera enthusiasts.

James V. Monaco, known for hits like You Made Me Love You, was one of the most popular Tin Pan Alley composers of the early 20th century. Edgar Leslie and Pete Wendling were equally well-known in the 1910s and 1920s, collaborating on many popular songs of the era.

This piece is an excellent example of 1920s romantic sheet music, highly desirable for collectors of Art Deco illustration, Tin Pan Alley music, fortune teller themes, and lady portrait covers.

Condition:

Very good vintage condition for its age. Some minor edge wear and faint handling marks, but the colors remain vibrant and the artwork is striking. Please review all photos carefully to best assess condition.
