Very good antique condition with scattered tiny fleabites/nicks to some cut edges visible under a jeweler's loupe. No cracks or repairs observed. Both handles are intact. Light age-related surface and base wear.

Description

Antique American Brilliant Period cut glass creamer and open sugar bowl set with exceptionally intricate geometric cutting.

The matching pieces feature large six-point flashed-star medallions surrounded by finely cut radiating fans, along with strawberry-diamond crosshatching, deeply cut mitres, smaller geometric star motifs, scalloped rims, and extensively cut bases. The applied handles are decorated with polished oval thumbprint cuts.

The density and variety of the cutting create strong brilliance and rainbow refraction throughout both pieces. An especially striking matched serving set for an American cut-glass collection or display.
