Bohol, Talibon Philippines

An exceptionally large and uncommon Turris normandavidsoni measuring 89.7mm. This is a species that is infrequently offered in the U.S. collector market, especially in larger sizes. The size is particularly noteworthy: published taxonomic material for the species includes an illustrated specimen measuring 89.2mm placing this 89.7mm example at the upper end of documented sizes.

The specimen exhibits the characteristic elongated form of the species, with a high tapered spire, strongly sculptured whorls, and an exceptionally long, narrow siphonal canal. The ivory-white ground is overlaid with irregular dark brown markings that follow the axial sculpture and continue well down the canal.

Importantly this specimen retains its original collection data label, providing locality and collection information preserving the specimen's provenance.
