Over the coming months, I'll be having a huge clear out of items gathered over many years. Selected items from my home, together with the contents of my shed, attic and storage spaces, all have to go. Once they are gone, they are gone.

A lovely pair of small vintage wooden cabinet/drawer knobs, believed to be made from hardwood.

These are particularly small and have a pleasing, simple rounded form, with a substantial little fixing spigot to the rear. They have a wonderful aged and naturally worn appearance, with variations in colour, surface marks and patina giving them plenty of character.

Approximate measurements:

The 18mm knob depth and 27mm overall depth are measured excluding/including the rear fixing spigot as described above.

I would describe these as vintage, although I cannot establish a precise date.

They would be ideal for small drawers, cabinets, cupboards, boxes, writing desks, jewellery cabinets, small pieces of furniture or restoration projects where a genuine old wooden fitting is required.

Their particularly small size could also make them useful for restoring smaller pieces of period furniture where modern replacement knobs are simply too large.

Condition:
Genuine vintage condition with general age-related wear, marks and surface patina. The photographs show the actual pair being offered and give a good indication of their condition and appearance. I have left them in their found condition rather than refinishing them.

A charming pair of genuine old wooden furniture fittings with a lovely tactile, time-worn appearance.

Price is for the pair shown.

Please study all the photographs carefully as they show the actual knobs and form an important part of the description.
