Antique Carved Nephrite Jade Ritual Pendant - Elephant, Scroll & Dragon
Size (size): 50mm * 48 mm * 11 mm
Object specifications:
Material: Carved Natural Stone (Jade Hetian with Antique Patina).
Pattern: Sacred elephant with ritual scroll and mythological creature top.
Dimensions: 50mm x 48mm x 11mm.
Weight: 40 grams.
Highlights: This part is a great example of openwork embossed size (openwork). The design depicts an elephant in a resting but alert posture, with the trunk elegantly curved upwards. On its back rests a rectangular structure decorated with cloud scrolls that seems to hold an archaic dragon (style Chi Dragon).
Main features:
Detailed size: The engraving work is exceptional, showing textures on the elephant's ears, cloud patterns on the scroll, and the detailed physiognomy of the upper creature.
Powerful symbolism: It represents stability, protection, and success. It is a piece loaded with spiritual and cultural significance.
Patina and Color: The stone features a deep moss green hue with ferruginous (brown) inclusions that highlight carved areas, giving it an excavation piece or ancient relic look.
Versatility: It features a small perforation on top (visible in photos) allowing you to use it as a pendant or integrate it into a display case collection.
Condition: The part is located in pristine condition, with a smooth polish that only time and handling can give the natural stone. The reverse is smooth, allowing you to appreciate the purity and natural streaks of the material.
A great value addition for Asian glyptych experts or lovers of animal symbolism amulets.
