These watercolors are genuine Schmincke tube watercolors that have been carefully hand poured into individual watercolor pans by Wild Pigment Co. The original Schmincke paint is not reformulated, diluted, mixed with additional binders, or otherwise altered.
You're receiving the original watercolor formula—simply transferred from the tube into a convenient pan and allowed to dry.
Each pan contains authentic Schmincke watercolor sourced from the manufacturer's original tube paint.
Nothing is added to the paint.
We do not add:
• Gum Arabic
• Honey
• Glycerin
• Water
• Preservatives
• Additional pigments
• Fillers or other ingredients
The watercolor is transferred directly from the original tube into the pan and allowed to dry naturally.
Each pan is individually filled and dried by hand in Michigan.
Because tube watercolor is formulated for use directly from a tube, individual colors can behave differently as they dry in pans. Some pigments may dry harder, softer, glossier, more textured, or slightly tackier than others.
You may also notice natural settling, shrinkage, cracking, or differences in the dried surface.
These variations are normal for hand-poured tube watercolor and do not mean the original Schmincke formula has been altered.
To use, simply add clean water to the surface and allow the paint a moment to reactivate before loading your brush.

Each pan is filled with genuine Schmincke watercolor and allowed to dry before packaging.
Since watercolor loses moisture while drying, the finished paint may settle below the rim or have an uneven surface. Fill appearance can also vary between pigments because different watercolor formulations shrink and dry differently.
This is normal for hand-poured watercolor and does not affect the quality or usability of the paint.
We make every effort to photograph and represent each watercolor accurately.
However, the appearance of watercolor can vary depending on:
• Paper type and color
• Amount of water used
• Number of layers
• Lighting conditions
• Application technique
• Camera and screen settings
Individual pigments can also have very different characteristics, including transparency, opacity, staining, granulation, and lifting behavior.
