Hand colored. Good looking young man in mid 19th century garb. There is a little bit of ripple lower right of photo, thought it was adhesive from an old price tag but no, it is under the case's glass on the photo. Does not seem like a serious problem, I did not investigate. Case maker's paper tag under the velvet side of case. Case in super condition, closes nicely, can't find a single problem.
