Buyer-Focused Description

Vintage Sears Silvertone Medalist Model 3226 portable transistor radio with a distinctive mid-century black-and-chrome cabinet, large tuning controls, telescoping antenna, and perforated metal speaker grille. The front is marked Silvertone Medalist and Twelve Transistor, with selectable FM AFC, FM, and AM bands. The rear identification label specifies Model 3226, Black.

This is an appealing restoration, display, or parts project for a vintage radio collector. The radio has its original cabinet, rear cover, leather-look carrying handle, telescoping antenna, tuning and band controls, speaker, circuit board, and battery holder. The battery holder is shown outside the cabinet in the photographs. It requires batteries and has not been tested, so reception, audio output, controls, and electronic operation are not guaranteed.
