Up for sale is an incredibly rare, authentic piece of early 20th-century grocery store advertising: an original Old Dutch Cleanser Storefront Window Transparency Sign. Approximately 11” x 6”. A survivor piece.
This is NOT a standard tin can or a modern reproduction. It is a genuine, turn-of-the-century paper/celluloid "water-dip" window sign designed to be applied directly to a general store window glass, offering a stunning 3D visual illusion of a product canister from the street.
Condition Notes: Front (Display Side): Excellent, bright vintage condition. The lithograph colors remain highly vibrant with beautiful preservation of the gold background. No major fading or severe facial cracking.
Back (Instruction Side): The original paper backing contains the complete "Directions" text and Meek Company factory marks. The backing paper shows significant age-related wear, tearing, and peeling as pictured, but remains intact enough to cleanly read the historical stamp.
Storage: The item is currently housed in a rigid, clear protective collector sleeve and will be shipped flat with extreme care.
Please review all photos carefully to judge the exact condition for yourself before bidding. This will be shipped in its protective sleeve which I have never removed since purchase. It will be placed in between cardboard, bubble wrapped and shipped via envelope.
