Spanish American War, U.S. Army, Hospital Corps 1904 Group Photograph, FORT JAY, Base Hospital, Governors Island, New York, 9 ½” x 7 ½” inches, Nice Condition.  Original Spanish American War Period, U.S. Army Hospital Corps large size group photograph taken at Fort Jay, Base Hospital on Governors Island, New York.  The Hospital Corps Medical Soldiers are wearing Slouch Hats with Hospital Corps Uniforms and are gathered around a Civil War Cannon.  There is one (1) African American Soldier that can be seen behind the last rom.  The front of the photograph reads “THE HOSPITAL CORPS, FORT JAY, SEPT. 1904”.  The bottom right corner has the photographers name “S. MEDLEY, N.Y.”  The photograph is mounted on a gray cardboard photograph frame.  The cardboard frame measures about 13 ¾” x 11” inches and the actual photograph measures about 9 ¾” x 7 ½” inches.
