Pair of original vintage Technics reel-to-reel tape machine reel spacers / reel-height shims.
These original Technics spacers are quite difficult to find loose today, especially as a matching pair.
These were originally supplied as accessories with certain Technics reel-to-reel machines and/or reel hub arrangements and were used to obtain the correct reel position and tape-path alignment when different reels or hub configurations were fitted.
A reel spacer fits between the reel and the reel table/hub, moving the reel slightly outward from the deck.
This allows the reel position to be adjusted so that the tape travels correctly through the machine's tape path and runs centrally between the reel flanges rather than rubbing against one side.
They can be particularly useful when switching between different plastic reels, metal reels and hub/adaptor configurations.
Original vintage used condition.
Both spacers show normal cosmetic wear from age and use, including light marks, scuffs and surface wear.
