This is a dark navy or black Filson Mackinaw Wool Cruiser Jacket featuring signature front utility flap pockets. In some lighting it looks black but I think it’s a dark navy blue color.

Estimated Year Made

Based on the white and red rectangular woven "C.C. Filson Co. - Seattle" tag visible inside the collar, this garment is from the early 1990s.

Vintage Filson pieces from this era often have a printed 4-digit date code (e.g., 1092 would represent October 1992).

After checking the tag, this was made in October 1994. How to Decode the Tag:The Date Code: On vintage Filson tags from the 1990s, the four-digit collection of numbers printed right beneath the "Style 110" line represents the production date.

The 90s Format: During this specific era, Filson structured the 4-digit code using a Year-Year-Month-Month (YYMM) layout.Your Tag (9410):94 = 199410 = October (the 10th month)The style code 110 also identifies this piece as Filson's iconic Mackinaw Wool Cruiser Jacket.

This jacket is vintage and preowned in good overall condition. The main jacket is thick warm and sturdy. There is some fraying at the cuffs. And on the lower front right pocket, the corner of the pocket stitching came out and left a tiny place where the pocket corner just needs to be stitched back together. It’s not a hole on the outer jacket just the inner side of the pocket. When you take it to your dry cleaner I’m sure they can fix that for you. See pics.

Numbered Size: 46 typically aligns with a 46-inch chest.Letter Size: Modern Filson and general US sizing map a 44–46 chest to an XL.Fit Note: Vintage Filson outerwear (like Mackinaw Cruisers or Tin Cloth field coats) was traditionally cut very roomy to allow for heavy sweaters and active movement underneath. A vintage 46 can feel quite large compared to modern, slim-fit jackets.Key Sizing TipsPit-to-Pit Measurement: Ask the seller for the flat pit-to-pit measurement. A vintage size 46 jacket will often measure significantly larger than 23 inches across (frequently 25 to 27 inches flat) because of the generous cut.Actual Chest: If your own chest measures around 44 to 46 inches, a size 46 vintage coat will give you a classic, authentic outdoor fit with space to layer
