Arcam Alpha 5 Plus is am Audiophile quality CD player, plays but has a draw issue. Came from a recent estate sale, the draw started to open while we were carrying it.
Upon testing the draw does not open or close, the motor is going and the belt seems ok, might be broken gears? we have taken the cover off to have a quick look but not gone any further.
With a disc in the tray and manually closing it the player is working and sounds amazing. It features a 16-bit dual DAC and CDM-9 transport, ensuring superior audio output.
These sought after players sell for circa £150 in full working order, priced accordingly. Ps there is one screw missing from the left hand side of the case.
