A strong West Coast jazz session from vibraphone master Red Norvo, recorded in Hollywood in 1956 and issued on the short-lived JEMO label. This quintet date blends cool jazz sophistication with relaxed swing, featuring Norvo's fluid vibraphone lines supported by flute, guitar, bass, and drums.
Recorded at 71/2 IPS in true two-track stereo (stacked heads, NAB), this early stereo reel offers excellent clarity, separation, and dynamic range typical of mid-1950s high-fidelity tape releases. A desirable title for collectors of early stereo jazz and West Coast sessions.
