Antique Christmas Ornament Girl Holding Cat 13” Cotton Batting Crepe Paper Tinsel

Wonderful large antique Christmas ornament featuring a sweet little girl holding a tabby kitten. Measuring approximately 13 inches tall, this charming ornament combines a colorful lithographed paper cutout with cotton batting, red crêpe paper trim, and metallic tinsel.

The girl has dark curls, expressive blue eyes, a pink bodice with a beautifully detailed printed lace collar, and matching pink shoes. Her full cotton batting skirt is decorated with bands of red crêpe paper. The kitten nestled in her arms is an especially appealing detail, giving this piece wonderful character for both Christmas and cat collectors.

Retains its original hanging cord with a portion of tinsel attached.

Condition: There is creasing to the original lithographed paper, particularly at the legs and shoes, along with scattered surface and edge wear. The ornament remains stable, although its antique paper and textile materials require gentle handling. The batting shows age toning and some unevenness at the edges. The tinsel has thinning, darkening, and loose strands. A rectangular paper reinforcement on the upper reverse shows splits and lifting; its age and purpose are uncertain.
