Not Compatible with Factory iDrive + LCD Screen
If your BMW has the factory iDrive system together with an original LCD display on top of the dashboard, the E90X7S is not compatible.
Please compare your original dashboard with the compatibility images before ordering.
Check Your Factory Radio Connector
After confirming that your dashboard is suitable, please check the original radio power connector behind the centre console.
If the factory plug has 8 speaker wires
If your original radio connector has the 8 speaker wires shown in the listing image, the E90X7S can connect using the supplied vehicle wiring for a compatible installation.
If the factory plug does not have 8 speaker wires
If those 8 speaker wires are not present, your vehicle requires the optional Eonon A0581 decoder box for installation.
A0581 is not included unless specifically stated in your selected package.
This check is especially important on BMWs with different factory amplifier or audio configurations.
⚠️ Additional BMW Installation Notes
Vehicles with Factory Optical Fibre
If your original BMW radio system uses an optical fibre connection, the instrument cluster may display an SOS warning/message after the factory radio is removed.
According to the supported installation configuration, this warning does not affect operation of the E90X7S itself.
Please check your original audio system before installation.
Factory Button Relocation
On some BMW configurations, original vehicle buttons are located in the panel below the factory radio.
If you want to retain these original buttons after installing the E90X7S, an ashtray button relocation kit is required.
The relocation kit is not included.
Climate Control Panel Installation
After removing the factory radio, the original air-conditioning control panel can be repositioned below the E90X7S using the supplied mounting bracket.

The vehicle-specific interface is designed to retain selected original BMW functions on compatible configurations.

BMW factory audio configurations can differ between vehicles. If your original radio connector does not have the required 8 speaker wires, an A0581 decoder box may be required as described in the compatibility section above.

My BMW has factory iDrive and an LCD screen. Will it fit?
No. The E90X7S is not compatible with BMW vehicles equipped with the factory iDrive system and original dashboard LCD screen.
How do I know whether I need the A0581 decoder?
Check the factory radio connector. If it has the 8 speaker wires shown in the listing image, the A0581 is not required for this reason. If those 8 speaker wires are missing, the A0581 decoder box is required.
Is Harman Kardon supported?
Compatible Harman Kardon systems are supported. Installation requirements depend on the original BMW audio configuration.
Are steering wheel controls retained?
Compatible factory steering wheel controls are supported, except for the original voice recognition button.
What happens if my BMW uses an optical fibre connection?
After replacing the factory radio, an SOS message may appear on the instrument cluster on affected configurations. This does not affect operation of the E90X7S itself.
Does it support Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto?
Yes. Both wired and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported.
Can GPS work without internet?

Do I need a SIM card?
