Large carved wooden half-hull ship model mounted on a dark wooden backboard with a moulded wooden frame. No.17  is marked on the ship.

A substantial maritime display piece with the hull showing its original aged wooden finish and construction details.

There are various signs of age and use throughout, including scratches, scuffs, chips, marks and areas of wear to the hull and frame. There are also some old holes/marks to the hull as pictured.

The reverse has various old handwritten inscriptions, including writing which appears to be in another language. The writing is faded and difficult to decipher; please see photos.
