DESCRIPTION:

A LITTLE PIECE OF COLLECTING HISTORY

More than four decades ago, this Jan Hagara figurine found its way into a Michigan gift gallery.

The original purchase receipt has remarkably stayed with it ever since.

Purchased from Georgia’s Gift Gallery in Plymouth, Michigan in 1984, “Jenny and Her Bye-Lo Doll” has remained together with its original box, paperwork, and numbered Certificate of Authenticity — a wonderful surviving set from the early years of Jan Hagara collectibles.

Jenny is shown gently holding her Bye-Lo doll, while a teddy bear and colorful little ball rest beside her feet. The soft colors, delicate facial details, period clothing, and small childhood touches give the piece the nostalgic character for which Jan Hagara collectibles are known.

What makes this example particularly special is not simply the figurine itself, but everything that has remained with it over the years.
