Antique Small All-Bisque Dolls – Set of 2

A charming set of two small antique all-bisque dolls, acquired at a doll event in France.

Both dolls are believed to date from approximately the 1910s–1930s. They have painted faces, articulated arms and legs, and fixed necks.

Doll 1 – Brown Hair

• Height: approx. 6.5 cm / 2.6 in
• Seated height: approx. 4.5 cm / 1.8 in
• Painted eyes
• Hair appears to be human hair
• Articulated arms and legs
• Fixed neck
• No cracks or chips found in the bisque
• The lace dress is not original and appears to have been attached with adhesive in recent times

Doll 2 – Blonde Hair

• Height: approx. 6 cm / 2.4 in
• Seated height: approx. 4 cm / 1.6 in
• Mohair hair
• Painted face
• Articulated arms and legs
• Fixed neck
• No identifiable mark on the back
• No cracks or chips found in the bisque
• The lace dress is not original and appears to have been attached with adhesive in recent times
• A small area of staining is present on part of the dress

Condition

Both dolls are in good condition for their age, with no cracks or chips observed in the bisque.

Please note that the dresses are later additions and are not original to the dolls. The clothing shows some signs of age and wear.
