CONDITION:  Signed inscription inside the front cover - light edge wear with the occasional brown spot -small tears to edges and spine reinforced with clear archival tape.

ADDITIONAL: 62 unnumbered pages (15 double sheets and one single sheet), including the covers, all of which are loose, with essays, poems and illustrations. The magazine weighs 750 grams including packaging. 

Sao Breiz evit ar vro Gallek (in French, Debout, Brittany, for France) is a magazine published in London from 1941 by Fidel Armor, an association founded in August 1940 under the patronage of General de Gaulle and the presidency of Mme. Lucienne-Thébault-Montgermont to group the Bretons of the Free French Forces of Great Britain. The association Sao Breiz evit ar vro Gallek, created by Antoine Vourc'h at the request of the physician-general Adolphe Sicé, took over from it at the end of 1942.

Contributers include Capitain de Vaisseau R. Moullec, G.L. Richard, Charles Michel, M.J. de Cadenet, Yves Goeau, Docteur KergeulenL.Th. Montgermont, Valin and the artist Pascal.

Interesting to note that all the accents have been added by hand, presumably because they were unable to acquire a French typewriter!

A fascinating piece of WWII ephemera and a rare copy in very good condition overall.
