Record: Near Mint (NM or M-) — both sides show a clean, glossy surface in raking-light photos with no visible scratches, scuffs, or wear marks. As with all used vinyl sold here, this record has not been played — grading is visual only.

Sleeve: Excellent (EX) — glossy jacket with sharp, clean corners; one light diagonal crease/scuff is visible on the front cover near the upper right, with a few small handling marks, but the artwork stays bright and unmarked otherwise. Includes the original inner lyric sleeve (printed with full lyrics and credits for both sides), which shows a visible crease — graded separately as Very Good Plus (VG+). About the Album

Give Me the Night is George Benson's 1980 landmark, produced by Quincy Jones and released on Jones's new label imprint, Qwest Records, in conjunction with Warner Bros. Records. Rod Temperton (of Heatwave and, soon after, Thriller fame) contributed the title track along with several others, and the album became Benson's commercial peak, blending his jazz guitar pedigree with radio-ready funk and R&B. At the 1981 Grammy Awards the album swept four honors, including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for Benson and Best Jazz Vocal Performance, Male for "Moody's Mood."
