Top section screws out and is attached to a brass tube holder. With the leads and eraser.

THE PENCIL MECHANISM

Perfect, smooth working mechanism. ( END NOZZLE TWIST activated ) system works perfectly as it should. 
With lead in the chamber and a full compliment of the original 1.18 mm lead spares in the tube housing under the original UN-USED ERASER
