An attractive vintage hanging ceiling light with a decorative black wrought-iron style frame and substantial textured glass shade.
The fitting has a strong Gothic / Arts & Crafts inspired appearance, with twisted metal uprights, large scrolling details and a square peaked canopy. The clear glass shade has a particularly attractive deeply textured, flowing pattern which diffuses the light and gives the fitting considerable character.
The lamp is suspended from a metal chain, retaining an older-style electrical fitting and wiring. Its combination of dark metalwork and heavily textured glass would suit a period property, hallway, porch, entrance hall or an interior with traditional, Gothic, rustic or Arts & Crafts influences.
