Offered here is an original 1966 Topps Batman Black Bat #19 “Fiery Encounter,” from the iconic 55-card first-series Batman trading-card set issued during the height of 1960s Bat-Mania.
The colorful painted front captures The Penguin unleashing a blast from one of his trick umbrellas as Robin charges into action. The vivid yellow background, exploding red flame and distinctive black bat-shaped “FIERY ENCOUNTER” caption make this a particularly colorful card from the series.

No. 6 of 11 Batman vs. The Penguin Cards
making it part of the 11-card Penguin storyline contained within the complete 55-card Black Bat set.

This card was acquired by the seller through Heritage Auctions as part of the Ben Novack Jr. Estate Collection.
Heritage Auctions Lot #12552, “Batman Trading Card and Related Group (1966-2002),” sold June 17, 2012 for $448.13. Heritage's original description specifically states that the lot included two complete 1966 Topps First Series Black Bat sets and identifies the collection as being from the Ben Novack Jr. Estate Collection.

Condition
This is an original, ungraded vintage card.
The card retains strong original color and attractive overall presentation. Please note, however, that there are visible crease/wrinkle lines near the upper-left and upper-right portions of the card, which are most apparent when viewing the reverse. There is also normal vintage corner, edge and surface wear and age toning.
Because of these creases, the card should not be considered a high-grade example.
