Description
This is a traditional Japanese folding fan (sensu) purchased at an antique market in Kyoto.
The fan surface is made of gold-colored paper with a bamboo motif, mounted on bamboo ribs.
It is signed “Heihachiro” with a red seal, and it may possibly be attributed to the Japanese painter Fukuda Heihachiro (1892–1974).
However, please note that the authenticity cannot be guaranteed.
Lightweight and easy to handle, this fan can be enjoyed as a display piece, a collectible, or even for occasional use.
