Reluctantly for sale is my 2007 VW GOLF GTI MK5 EDITION 30 3DR DSG *ONLY 49K MILES* .
Finished in the highly desirable Black magic pearl effect LC9Z. 100% original ED30 which is extremely hard to find now, no modifications whatsoever. They are becoming highly sought after now, being the 30th anniversary for the GTI, even more so in this colour & spec. The ED30 has been parked up off the road for 2 years. Therefore, it’s being sold with the opportunity for the new owner to get it back on road & enjoy many miles.! Before being laid up, the car was pristine.!
It has covered only 49K miles. All backed up with invoices, MOT’s & full-service history (until it was parked up.)
Only 3 keepers, one having owned it for 15 years & cherished the car.!

From factory, numerous optional extras were ticked. This includes the following :
-Magic black Pearl effect paint
-DSG
-Rear privacy glass
-High line clocks
-Rear Parking sensors
-Cruise control
-Dual climate control
-Heated Interlagos ED30 interior

Body & paint:
Factory paint vehicle which presents in nice condition ( few blemishes due to being stood , all issues noted below in the work to do list ). It hasn't been cleaned for photos (please excuse the dirt and dust, apologies) , all it needs is a thorough detail and it would look lovely. The underside is immaculate , the sills , floor & jacking point are as new.

Interior:
The interior is free of wear, as expected for a vehicle which has covered a mere 49,000 miles. The steering wheel, gearstick, pedals, dashboard facia etc are all as new condition, with no wear whatsoever. The original interlagos interior is also in immaculate condition.

Engine & transmission:
Matching number BWA ED30 engine mated to the highly desirable DQ250 DSG gearbox.
The engine runs flawlessly. Starts on the button and runs smoothly. As for the DSG gearbox, that selects & shifts through gears perfectly.

History :
Original ED30 book pack present with all booklets. Original service booklet full of stamps & full history. The original plaque is still sealed in the bag & never fitted. The supporting paperwork from VW is still in the folder for this.

Work to do :
-Currently has no MOT
-Tyres have started to crack & O/S rear has a puncture. Therefore, would be nice to replace all 4. At the same time, would be a good idea to refurbish the wheels as I’m not particularly keen on the anthracite finish.
-Brake pedal needs a new centre pin ( existing one has corroded & is causing a slow return of the pedal)
-Airbag light on ( needs new module due to code shown on VCDS, easy fix)
-There is a minor scratch on the passenger side rear quarter panel just on the arch (easily rectified)
-Some marks on the rear bumper
-Rear taillights faded & crazing
-Front headlamps need a polish to make new again.
-There is a 10p size dent on the driver side upper quarter panel.
-Headlining sagging
-It could do with a thorough detail inside out . There is some mold on the carpets.

All in all, this is an amazing purchase for an enthusiast who is looking to get a very rare ED30 with this mileage & history. Price is firm, if it doesn’t sell, it can stay where it is. I’ve seen 2 ED30’s with similar mileage sell for £17-18k within the last month, both of which were 5DR. 3DR’s are very thin on ground now , so it’s a sound investment & will be a 15-20K car when it’s back on the road. All it really needs is a few weeks & it would be back on the road.

Genuinely had no plans of selling this & wanted to make it pristine once again. However, other commitments come first & means it won't get attended to for the foreseeable future. Having said that,  If it doesn't sell, I will keep it until I have the time to give it the attention it deserves.
