This SONY WM-EX9 Walkman (MAZIORA) is in good cosmetic and working condition. A brand new drive belt has been installed and all basic functions have been tested successfully.
Playback, FF, REW, auto reverse, and sound output have been confirmed using both a gumstick battery and an AA battery.
The unique MAZIORA finish changes color depending on lighting and viewing angle, giving this Walkman a distinctive iridescent appearance.
Aside from small cracks on 2 of the 4 decorative corner trim pieces (please see photos for details), the overall cosmetic condition — including the body finish and battery contacts — is excellent. This has been factored into the price, which is set lower than usual to reflect the corner trim condition.

Made in Japan
The WM-EX9 was released in 1998 as one of Sony's stylish late-generation cassette Walkman models.
This model is also known in Japan as the "Glamour Boys" series and is especially popular for its slim body and eye-catching MAZIORA coating developed by Nippon Paint.
New drive belt installed. Belt path cleaned. Head cleaned and demagnetized. Playback and sound balance checked.

This unit works with a gumstick battery or an AA battery. The AA battery case is not included.
Please note that some functions are limited without the original remote control due to the minimal button layout on the main unit.

Gumstick battery, AA battery, AA battery case, headphones, remote control, and charger are not included.
Although serviced, vintage cassette players may exhibit slight wow and flutter, speed variation, minor mechanical noise, occasional inconsistent button or switch response, or temporary unstable operation after long periods without use, depending on tape condition, batteries, and age-related characteristics. Overall, this unit is suitable for normal everyday listening.
