Works with batteries or power adapter (not included). No VHF or UHF in my area. On the screen can see a cursor on the left hand side that is scanning, press of the tuning button changes the direction of the cursor. Antenna is straight. Battery compartment is in good condition. Didn’t test any of the jacks. This is a vintage, not thoroughly tested, electronic device, you are buying as-is.
