A superb Graeme W. Baxter “Old Course St. Andrews” golf print, dating from 1988 and depicting one of the most recognisable views in world golf.

The scene looks across the historic Old Course at St Andrews, with the famous Swilcan Bridge prominently featured in the foreground and the clubhouse, hotels and traditional buildings of St Andrews beyond. Other documented examples of this exact 1988 Baxter image describe the same Swilcan Bridge and 18th-hole view.

The artwork carries Graeme W. Baxter’s signature in pencil beneath the image, in addition to his painted signature and “88” within the artwork itself. The lower margin is titled “OLD COURSE ST. ANDREWS by GRAEME W. BAXTER” and bears the Baxter Prints copyright mark.

Baxter became particularly well known for his golf artwork and has produced works associated with major tournaments including The Open Championship and Ryder Cup.

A very attractive piece of golfing memorabilia and a particularly nice display piece for a golfer, clubhouse, office or golf-themed room.
