This is an exceptionally detailed Tamiya aircraft kit featuring a fully reproduced Packard Merlin V-1650 engine with carburetor, supercharger and intercoolers. Ultra-thin engine cowlings attach using magnets, allowing them to be removed after assembly to display the engine.

The cockpit is highly detailed with early and late-production seat and instrument panel options. The wheel wells, landing gear bays, six 12.7mm Browning machine guns and ammunition belts are also extensively detailed.

The kit includes photo-etched metal detail parts, canopy masking sheet, solid rubber tyres, 75 and 108-gallon drop tanks, movable radiator and oil cooler flaps, multiple tail and elevator options, three sliding canopy options and markings for three US 8th Air Force aircraft.

Also included are two pilot figures, a display stand and a full-colour photographic reference manual. The finished model measures approximately 308 mm long with a 354 mm wingspan.

The outer box has some light age and storage-related wear as shown in the photos. The model and accessories inside remain new and unassembled.
