Working Vintage 1970s Singer Starlet 354 Portable Sewing Machine (Made in France)

Up for sale is a beautiful, retro Singer Starlet Model 354 sewing machine dating from the 1970s (internationally known as the Singer Genie). Featuring the iconic bright yellow and orange floral faceplate, this is a fantastic piece of mid-century design that is fully operational!

Condition & Testing Details:

Mechanically Working: Tested and fully functional. The internal motor runs smoothly, the foot pedal is responsive, and the needle bar cycles up and down correctly when power is applied.

Power & Light: The built-in workspace light turns on immediately and works perfectly (see photos).

Cosmetics: In good vintage condition with minor surface scuffs and light age-related discolouration as expected for its age.

Modular Design: The detachable extension bed functions perfectly, clipping securely to the front to act as a hard-shell protective travel cover.

Please Note (Missing Parts):

While the machine functions beautifully, it is currently missing a few inexpensive user components before you can begin sewing:

1. The clear plastic bobbin slide plate cover (easily found online for a few pounds).

2. A standard sewing needle.

3. A drop-in Class 66 bobbin.

This is a fantastic opportunity to own a fully functional, smooth-running vintage machine that just needs a couple of cheap plastic consumables to be complete.
