Dimension: 11 inches (27.94cm) tall

Vintage Chinese hand‑carved serpentine (Xiu jade) sculpture, dating circa 1950‑1980, produced for export.

Masterfully executed open‑work pierced carving. This elaborate piece depicts phoenix birds, peony blossoms, pine tree and a deer. Rich symbolic meanings: phoenix‑with‑peony represents wealth and good fortune, pine and deer symbolize longevity. Layers of twisting branches, delicate leaves and feathers create deep three‑dimensional visual effect, a representative craftwork of Chinese jade carving art.

Condition:
Main body intact. Fine tips of some thin leaves and feather extremities bear tiny old nicks, which are common age‑related flaws for fragile open‑carved jade pieces. No major breaks, no restoration. Wooden stand is not included. Please check all photos carefully for full condition.
